Local Charities Win at 2011 Catfish Bend Casino Golf Classic
BURLINGTON, Iowa – Several area organizations will share more than $10,000 in new donations raised by Catfish Bend Casino's Annual Charity Golf Classic which took place Friday, July 29 at Spirit Hollow Golf Course in Burlington, Iowa. Winning teams in each flight designated a Lee or Des Moines County charity to receive donations from their cumulative winnings. "This tournament is alot of fun for everybody, and we like to think it improves each year," said Bob Winckler, Assistant General Manager of Catfish Bend Casino. "It is a great testament to the people from our communities who take the time to come out each year to support such worthy causes."

Since its inception, the tournament has raised over $175,000.

The 2011 tournament provided the following charitable contributions:

$2000 to The Burlington Notre Dame Foundation (From the M.J. Daly Construction Team)
$2000 to to the Baxter Family Foundation (From Baxter Construction Team)
$2000 to YMCA of Ft. Madison (From Lee County Bank and Feinberg Metals Teams)
$1500 to the Burlington Community Foundation (From Hawk Eye Team)
$1000 to Burlington Animal Shelter (From IGT of Iowa Team)
$1000 to Ft. Madison P.A.W.S. Animal Shelter (From Meller Excavating Team)
$500 to The Burlington Church of Christ (From EBS Team)
$555 to Hope Haven from the Curran Chip-Off Charity Challenge

Winning teams in each flight designated a local charity as recipients for their winning donations.

First Flight:
